Rev. Dr. Lou Izor, Associate Pastor - Pastoral Counseling and Spiritual Direction
Dr. Izor has been a part of the St. John’s family for 34 years. She began spiritual journey at St. John’s as a music minister. During these years, she heard God’s call into the ministry. She attended the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.
Following her ordination, she served in the United Church of Christ’s Southwest Ohio Northern Kentucky Association (SONKA) area as a parish minister and an interim
minister for many years. During that time she earned a doctorate of ministry in pastoral counseling.
After retiring as a full-time parish minister, she returned to St. John’s as a part-time interim. During that time she brought her counseling to our church. After the interim position was filled, Dr. Izor continued pastoral counseling and spiritual direction for St.John's and our surrounding area on a limited basis from her home. To schedule an appointment, contact her directly. There is no fee for these services.

Carol graduated from Jefferson Township High School, Dayton, Ohio. She also attended several classes at Sinclair Community College (Dayton) after 1990. As of October 2016 she will begin her 50th year as church secretary! Other church activities include ChristCare Leader, Agape Fellowship Chair, Bereavement Dinner Coordinator; and Revitalization Committee: Reaching Out To Members sub-committee chair. She has received two awards of which she is most proud: Assistant Editor for a week from The Germantown Press; and, in 1995, she was selected as one of the Top 10 Women of the Miami Valley for volunteerism. She values the friendship of family and friends and enjoys Red Hat 'gaggles' planning events, cooking, quilting, and watching basketball.
Ann Monnig, Accompanist
Ann was born in Germantown and is a 5th generation member of St. Johns. Over the years she has held many positions in the church including bell choir director, financial secretary, search committee member and Agape board member. She has been the choir accompanist for over 12 years.
Ann received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Toledo and Medical College of Ohio in 1989 and has been practicing full time as an RN since then. She is currently the Associate Nurse Manager of the Intensive Care Unit at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio and pursuing her master’s degree in nursing.
Ann and her husband, Chris, live on a farm with their two children, Charlie and Katy, in Farmersville.
Mark Williams, Pastor Emeritus
Mark was born in Plattsburg, Ohio, which is near Springfield. He attended Northeastern High School, Heidelberg College and the United Theological Seminary. Mark's pastoral journey has lead him to minister, over the years, to seven churches in Ohio, including St. John's United Church of Christ, Germantown, Ohio from 1974 to 1985.
Mark returned to St.John's in 2001 and is currently serving as Pastor Emeritus. He and his wife Charlotte have 3 children, 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Mark is an avid golfer who also enjoys gardening, reading and singing.
JoAnn Wagner, Organist and Senior Choir Director
Prior to serving as organist for St. John’s, JoAnn served as the Senior Assistant to the President at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio for fourteen years. In addition to her duties as organist, she is also directing the Senior Choir. JoAnn is currently employed by the Middletown Community Foundation.

Rev. Laureen A. Roe, Pastor
Laureen began ministry with St. John’s in November 2016. Prior to this she served a year as Interim Director of Youth Ministries at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Centerville; nine years as Pastor at First Christian Church in Middletown; three years as Associate Pastor at First Christian Church in Wilmington; and four years as Minister to Children and Youth at Central Christian Church in Kettering. Rev. Roe grew up in Beavercreek. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Wright State University and a Master of Divinity from The Methodist Theological School in Ohio. She is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with partnership standing in The United Church of Christ.
Rev. Roe has a joyous spirit and deep love for God that shape her ministry and all that she does.
